The smaller of the two Skellig islands and one of my favourite excursions ever. Probably one of my least favourite boat trips however, I struggled to keep it together while other boat passengers were getting sick around me for the 45 minutes it took to get to the islands. I had wanted to visit for years but due to weather conditions or covid restrictions I’d been thwarted. Jun 2021 was the lucky month and luckily the curious puffins that accommodated the island had not migrated west yet and provided a warm welcome with their unique humming ‘birdsong’. The steps to the top curved around the craggy rock, amazing views everywhere. Can’t wait to go again!
